About Dr. Owen: Dr. Carter Owen is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Medical Genetics and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (MG and REI). She attended the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia.
While in medical school, she was awarded a clinical research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda where she focused on uterine fibroids. After completing her OBGYN residency in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania, she returned to the D.C. metro area for her fellowship in MG and REI at the NIH. She currently practices at CCRM Northern Virginia Fertility Center. She is a member of the LGBTQ clinical committee for CCRM nationwide. She and her wife are the proud parents of two sons
