March on Washington 60th Anniversary

Family Equality is organizing a group of folks to walk at Saturday's 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington.

If you are interested in walking with them, please click the registration button so we have a head count.

Some logistics:

• 8:00 AM: Meet at National Headquarters for the American Red Cross at 430 17th St NW. We'll gather there and then walk to the event together (15-minute walk to the event)

• 8:45-9:15 AM: Stacey Stevenson, CEO of Family Equality,  speaks during this time block 

• 9:15 AM-12:45 PM: Program continues [families come + go to take care of personal needs (food, cooling, rest, etc.) and be part of historic program]

• 12:45-1 PM: Line up for the march as directed by the announcements
  
• 1 PM: March to Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial (Marchers disperse from there)

TO BRING:

• It's going to be hot for the March! Plan your outfits accordingly and bring water (and snacks) with you. 
• Wear your sunscreen and bring it with you to reapply.
• We'll have hand fans and posters for you all!
