Description: This free virtual workshop will cover the history of domestic work, share everything you need to know about hiring someone to support your queer family, and help ensure that you know your responsibilities to create a relationship is mutually beneficial, especially as we’re facing unique circumstances with the federalization of Washington, DC. Topics covered will include requirements for employing someone in your home, where and how to hire household support, ensuring your home is a safe, healthy, and secure workplace for immigrant workers, and tips for retention and communication.
